PHOTOGRAPHY MENTORSHIPS

I designed my mentorships for photographers who want to feel more confident in their editing, more consistent across lighting situations, and more grounded in both the creative and business side of photography.

Whether you’re struggling with skin tones, overwhelmed by editing inconsistencies, or trying to streamline how you run your business behind the scenes—these sessions are built to give you clarity, direction, and a workflow that actually makes sense in real life.

Having a well-rounded understanding how light, color, editing, and your overall workflow work together...that's what creates lasting change.

That is what these mentorships are here to help you build.

This Is For You If:

  • Your edits feel inconsistent across different lighting situations
  • You struggle with skin tones and white balance
  • You want a true-to-color, natural editing style
  • You feel confident shooting, but editing feels hit-or-miss
  • You’re looking for a simpler, more repeatable workflow
  • You want support with the business side of photography (systems, website, client flow, SEO basics)

This mentorship is designed for photographers who want to refine their editing, improve consistency, and feel more confident in their workflow, shooting approach, client experience, and overall business systems.

This is a hands-on experience where we work directly through your questions, your images, and your goals in real time.

  • Live screen-share editing walkthrough in Lightroom
  • Portfolio review (if applicable)
  • Open Q&A throughout the session

We can focus on things like:

In-Person Shadowing Mentorship + Q&A

$400

A behind-the-scenes experience where you observe a real client session and see exactly how I work in real time. This is not a staged workshop—it is a real session with real clients, allowing you to observe natural decision-making as it happens.

A large part of photography isn’t just knowing settings—it’s understanding why decisions are made in real time. You’ll see how I adjust based on light, direction, movement, and client flow without breaking the rhythm of the session.

What’s included:

  • Attend a live photography session with me
  • Observe how I work with natural light in real time
  • See posing, directing, and client interaction
  • Watch how I adjust settings, angles, and direction based on changing light
  • Experience a full session from start to finish

Post-session Q&A:

After the session, we’ll go through a structured breakdown so everything you observed actually clicks.

We cover things like:

  • Why specific lighting and posing decisions were made
  • How and when adjustments were made during the session
  • How to recognize and work with different lighting situations
  • Workflow, consistency, and client experience insights

If time allows and it aligns with what you’re looking for, we can also touch on business structure, systems, and how everything connects behind the scenes of running a photography business.

Post-session Resources:

To help you continue applying what you observed beyond the session, you’ll receive:

  • A visual Canva guide outlining my core workflow, editing approach, and key concepts to help you process and apply what you observed during the session
  • My Complete Preset Pack included as a complimentary learning resource to support what you observe and help you apply it in your own workflow.

Optional add-on:

  • Follow-up 60-minute Zoom mentorship ($125) for editing deep-dive or additional questions

Seeing the Decisions Behind the Final Image

These examples are here to help you understand how much of a final image is shaped by real-time decisions around light, direction, exposure, and color—not just editing afterward.

Example 1: Harsh Sunlight

Before: RAW file with strong contrast and uneven light across the subject

After: Balanced exposure with natural skin tones and controlled highlights

What this reflects:

How light direction and exposure decisions impact the final image before editing even begins

Example 2: Indoor / Mixed Lighting

Before: Warm mixed lighting creating uneven color tones

After: Neutralized tones with balanced white balance and consistent skin color

What this reflects:

How different light sources influence color and how consistency is created across a session

Example 3: Backlit Session

Before: Underexposed subject with bright background

After: Proper subject exposure while maintaining natural background light

What this reflects:

How positioning and exposure choices shape clarity and depth in challenging light

New parents tenderly hold and kiss their newborn baby dressed in a cream ribbed onesie in a warm lifestyle photo.

These examples are meant to show how much of consistent photography comes from understanding light and making intentional decisions in real time.

Both mentorship options are built around this idea in different ways:

  • Zoom focuses on breaking down your own work and decisions
  • Shadowing lets you observe those decisions happening during a real session

What Makes This Different

  • A focus on natural, true-to-color editing
  • Real-life lighting situations (not idealized conditions)
  • A simplified, repeatable workflow
  • Real-time decision-making insight
  • A balance of creative, technical, and business education

The Real Shift Most Photographers Experience

Most photographers come in thinking they need better presets or more editing knowledge.

But what they usually leave with is a completely different understanding of how everything connects—how light, shooting decisions, editing, and client experience all influence each other.

That shift is what creates long-term consistency.

Presets (Optional Support Tool)

Presets are completely optional and simply offered as a starting point for those who want them.

  • Zoom mentorship clients can add presets at a discounted rate if they’d like a foundation to build from.
  • Shadowing mentorship clients receive presets as a complimentary resource to support learning after the session.

The goal of mentorship is always to understand why things work so you can confidently apply and adapt your own style long-term.
